In process of inventorying and estimating value for a small collection for estate purposes. I'm going to keep all the large cents, as I think they are really cool and interesting. Appreciate your thoughts on this one in particular, as it seems to be one of the potentially higher value coins. Report this Post to the Staff

Hard to say from these pics whether there's enough corrosion to detail it. I would have to say, alas, that it just barely won't pass. Lots of nice obverse denticles and hairlocks, which should lift it into VF territory. If it exceeds the corrosion threshold, it would definitely be VF-Details. If it doesn't detail, then VF-20, as the reverse is relatively weak. Very nice raw coin now matter how you look at it. Report this Post to the Staff
