Should a Canadian dime from a RCM 2016 special edition silver dollar proof set be magnetic?

If it's one of the silver proof sets then the dime is made of silver, as would be the quarter and nickel I believe but idk much about proof sets. Silver is non magnetic.

Only the dollar is silver.
The rest are plated steel so it should be magnetic.

If it's this set then it's supposed to be silver.

Just to make sure we're all on the same page:

If the Proof Set in question features a gold-plated silver dollar - the dime is silver and should be non-magnetic.

If the Proof Set features a colourized silver dollar - the dime is nickel-plated steel and should be magnetic.

The description states that the dollars is silver but the others are Three-ply nickel finish plated steel?

Short answer: yes

The annual silver proof set is silver, but there was also a second set, with all coins being base metal, except for the silver dollar.

If the set is not mint sealed though it cannot really be confirmed weather or not the accidentally put a silver dime in the set that should have been plated as it could have simply been swapped out from one set to the other. If the set is sealed it would be a packing error which carries a premium from what I have seen, otherwise it's just a silver dime with no way to prove it came from the mint like that.

Hello and thank you. This set, as all others sets, come directly to me from the mint as I collect the proof silver dollars. I have some people that like the other coins which I sell them to recop some of the $235 I pay for it. It is pure silver.
I just mentioned the dime to keep it simple but all the coins are non megnetic. (Using a very stong magnetic)?

@RJRL: Please provide an image of the reverse of the silver dollar. Thanks!

The COA you've shown is not the one that is supposed to come with the all silver (i.e., $235) set. If you are sure that it is the one that came with set, and your SD is selectively gold-plated, and if you have removed the other coins from the case and they are non-magnetic, then it would appear that an incorrect COA was inserted in your set at the Mint. If that's the case, you have a simple packaging error.

Okay, I was finally able to get back on this wonderful site.
So after all the answers here, I guess that I have a proof set that should have included steel coins instead of silver! Anyone else receive the same error set?
