Note: The discussion that follows specifically pertains to the small-size Wayte Raymond boards and albums.

Wayte Raymond produced an album (binder) for his small-sized boards; the binders hold up to five boards comfortably. Binders designed to hold boards from any coin series - or a combination of series - were labeled with a generic "The National Coin Album" on the front cover. Series-specific binders were also available; shown is the binder specifically for the "United States Commemorative Half Dollars" series (a set of the Type Set boards fills the binder nicely; multiple albums were necessary to hold the Complete Date and Mint Mark Set of boards). Meghrig also produced a binder for their boards, it carries the title "The American Coin Album" on its cover.

Examples of all three versions of the binder types are presented.

Physically, the binders were covered with a dark brown wrap that presented a textured, faux leather appearance. On the interior is found a dark brown paper wrap with a subtle abstract pattern. Print included on the binder's exterior and interior is done in gold leaf lettering. Branding details are printed on the interior-facing side of the front cover.

The binders had two interior rings included on the mechanism mounted on the spine. The binder's joints were designed to open completely and lie flat on a desk or table (or any flat surface).

I do not believe I have ever see the albums until now. If I had, they were not as memorable or impressive as your examples here.
