As this question relates to selling from the UK I have used this section of the CC Forums but if Mods feel it will be better somewhere else then please feel free to move it.

Post Brexit and I now need to complete the CN22 for overseas buyers in more detail. In the past for the description section on the form I put "Numis Hobby Supplies" as this avoided words like coin or currency or banknote which could attract the attention of the less honest.
Now it appears that more detail is required and items are supposed to be individually listed. This is just not possible when EU buyer might well purchase a whole variety of coins, GB and Foreign, batches or sets.
I have persisted with Numis Hobby Supplies but am now getting Custom delays in the EU, all other details are correct. Perhaps if Numis was expanded to Numismatic that would suffice ?
If you don't mind me asking, what words are other UK sellers using for the CN22 description section ?
Am I just unlucky with the delays or is it happening to others?
Thanks
Brian.

I typically use medallions when sending coins to my friends in Germany, USA, and Australia. Germany seems to be very slow at clearing UK parcels.

Isn't that covered by the HS code - something like '71181000 Coin (other than gold coin), not being legal tender'? Other than that, you just need to say what country it's from, which probably shouldn't include Iran, Russia, Ukraine etc.

This is about the only benefit of ebay's Global Shipping Programme - you just need to send it to their UK hub.

I have no idea about codes since the stuff I send is the results of trades with folks from here on CCF.

Thanks all.
I have always done my own postage, buying online from Royal Mail Click and Drop for overseas post. This now gives a link to Tarif codes that I used as well as IOSS. I have now found a more specific code on the Dept of Trade website so will use that in future.
Not tried the ebay Packlink system, it seems to get very mixed reviews.
Cheers
Brian.

What sort of code and description did you find? Since the deployment of these new forms, my friend in Germany gets hit for a small charge parcel of coins that I send him and almost all of them are standard circulating coins which can be found in change.

Waiting to find out what they charge him for the parcel that I just sent which had x2 UK pound coins and x6 US quarters where the postage was more than the face value of the coins.
