Hi gang. Looking for some expertise on a couple coins here. Are these worth sending to NGC ? (which I have never done before). I don't plan to sell them, but I like the look of my better coins in my album of certified genuine slabs.
I have finally realized the difference between a hoard and a collection, haha. So much to learn, and this group of folks seem very polite and knowledgable.
Thanks for any input!

More pics of the Nova C.
It's hard for me to grade, because I just see the amazing history, even though I know it has plenty of flaws,I think it's beautiful. Probably going to hunt a sharper one though.

Way too many pictures, we only need one obverse and reverse photo of each coin.

Keep them raw, you can enjoy the history by holding them in your hand. If you like slabbed coins, save up your money for better examples that are already in slabs. These are pretty much cull, although still hold numismatic value in this condition.

If you must send them in,use ANACS because they charge the least.

IMO, no, don't submit them for grading
UNLESS
you want them authenticated.

They don't merit being graded.

Both look quite genuine to me but I would not bother with slabbing them.

Enjoy the fact you can put them in your hand and hold history that's 200+ years old and not have to worry about ruining them by touching them.

Nothing like holding a historical coin in your hand for a truly physical connection to the past.

Awesome. I really appreciate the input. If nobody thinks they are "repro-feits" then very I'm happy with them, as they are. Good to know my instincts to admire without plasticizing were correct.
I am kind of obsessive about organizing my collections. Until lately,my coins have been a bit cluttered with a variety of storage. I really like the white NGC cases for authentification and display.
But like ya'll, I fully appreciate a relic when I get to hold/drive/shoot/play an antique coin/pickup/musket/guitar. Poker night with a bag of beater buffalo and mercury chips, feels right.
This is a nice forum and am grateful for everyone's helpful nature, as a very humble fan of history and collecting the past. Cheers

That seems to be a common instinct among numismatists.
