BM1947 showed me this site and I find it very interesting. I think everyone should do this. Its not coins though it is currency. What you do is take the money you have and use everyday and enter the serial number date and any notes about the bill. and it saves it for you on your login name. whenever someone anywhere in the country types in that dollar it tells you and tells you where it is and the notes that person has on it. Imagine spending a dollar in say California and it making its way all the way to west virginia for example. its neat finding out how far your money can really go. so check it out and start putting all your bills on it before you spend them and enjoy the fun. plus I want to see if any of you get any of my money. that would be awesome lol. www.wheresgeorge.com

This is an interesting idea in essence. But the odds that same bill will come to someone who will log it in the system are very low.

There have actually been alot of bills entered and alot of people doing it. you can check out other peoples profiles and see how many tmes their bills have been entered in other places and how many times. one profile had hits in almost every state. I figure the more to try it the more the chance.

Ive entered a few bills a while back. It says if your bills are entered and someone enters it after you, you will get an email about it. So far no one has entered my bills I guess......overall, its pretty cool!

The chances of having this happen is very slim. Who would like to work out the odds? The factors involved that I can think of are... The number of bills that are in circulation (in the billions) The lifetime of a circulating note (6 months to a year) The population of the country (250 million) The small number of people who will continue to list the number and not give up (possibly a hundred).

I have been doing wheres joerge with current silver dollars since 2002. You just get a peice of heavy gage steel wire, and make a "brand" out of it, then you hammer it into the coin. when you peel of the wire, you have a nice lettering indented in the coin!
