My apologies to
Peter Allen
and Susan

but the reason so many Aussies are here is due to Ken (SS)

so here is my half hearted attempt at humour

on behalf of another good forum- a little rougher around the edges but where we slug it out

I've been to forums that never close down,
from Coin Community to ebay and others around,
but no matter how far or how wide I roam,
I still call Australian Coins Tokens and Banknotes forum home.

I'm always searching, I love coins for free,
and so I keep leaving my couch and the TV,
but my heart lies waiting over the foam,
I still call Australian Coins Tokens and Banknotes forum home.

All the sons and daughters trading 'round the world,
away from their family and friends,
but as the coins get older and colder,
it's good to know where your coin collection ends.
Someday we'll all be together once more,
when all of the coins come back to the shore,
I'll realize something I've always known,
I still call Australian Coins Tokens and Banknotes forum home.

but no matter how far or wide I roam,
I still call Australia I still call Australia, I still call Australia home.
but no matter how far or wide I roam,
I still call Australia I still call Australia, I still call Australia home.

BUT IT IS NICE TO BE ADOPTED BY THE COIN COMMUNITY FORUM

Very nice, Richard. Who are the Peter and Allen that you are apologizing to?

LOL Peter Allen is the guy who wrote the song that rggoodie butchered altered.

Very nice as well, except now I keep thinking of the QANTAS ads. [:p]

I think it does. It is a very catchy song that is used by QANTAS (National Airline of Australia) in their advertisments...

I thought it was well done, and I sung along as I read it. But, I I've got to say, you've obviously got too much time on your hands.

Richard, Feeling a little home sick? The commonwealth games are about to start here so you have an additional excuse to fly back for a visit.
It would also be a great time to pick up all those Aussie coins you wanted and not have to pay postage back. Think of the savings...would probably save you the cost of the air fare.
The Summer heat is all but gone so the weather is beautiful as usual.
Rest in Peace

Richard, You are a multi-faceted personality!

I'm sure I would feel the same way if I were 12,000 miles away, living in Australia.

Hey rg- I sure like your poetic talent- Yes, it is a talent- Nothing like a good poem to soothe the frustrations of the coin collector who is always searching...searching..and searching--
