Brucec Pillar of the Community United States 1026 Posts	Posted 02/04/2009 10:36 pm OK I see hundreds of rolls of unc bank rolls of wheat cents for sale on ebay some say with 1909 VDB showing on both ends? My question are these real of is the market being flooded with fake rolls of wheat cents? I would like to buy some but what the real thing and am surprised that there are so many unc rolls of wheat cents but never looked for these before now on ebay. Report this Post to the Staff

Not fake coins, rolls are just seeded with semi-key coins to give the appearance that the roll may be solid VDBs or whatever. pyrbob Rest in Peace United States 1943 Posts	Posted 02/05/2009 06:49 am I don't understand. Are you sure these are unc (uncirculated) rolls and not obw (original bank wrapped rolls)? Also keep in mind most shotgun style rolls are not obw. This obw abbreviation is being used alot (especially on ebay) for all shotgun rolls including modern rolls and not just the old original uncirculated unsearched rolls from the bank.
