I just happened to stumble across this TRUE Radar note. I have heard that this type is worth more than a mixed letter variety. Thoughts anyone?

Sorry I'm new to paper currency, what's the significance of it?

Some collectors look for cool numbers like RADAR (spell it backwards, it's still RADAR) so it's slightly more rare than just normal notes.

Here's one of mine:

Just to clarify: wd1040's note isn't a "true radar", but it does have lots of 8s -it's "almost solid". Almost solids don't normally carry much of a premium, but this one is probably still special enough to warrant a premium in Asia (where 8 is the lucky number).

Nice bill! While I don't actively hunt paper currency, I do look at any bills I receive as change in the hopes of grabbing something nice.

How much of a premium to Radar notes carry over face value?

The value is subjective, there is no real price reference guide for fancy serial numbers but people will certainly pay a premium for them.

Here's one that's not quite a true radar...but it's my favorite...two digits...

And check out the CGA certification number on the back...

Yours is also a repeater. Some people collect those too. Well I guess some people collect almost anything. I save repeaters and radars. I posted earlier about my almost perfect stepladder note 01234568.
