Hey BadThad that coin is relatively mark free except hit on shoulder. Still in your opinion no good for the TPG's correct? I read that if a coin looks like it was colored with crayon colors then it was tampered with? In your opinion was this coin artificially altered? I like the coin. The green and rich purple , I find attractive. I may be the only one on the board that thinks so but considering marks only, this should reach 66? Curious as to what others think. This coin should be right up your alley as you have stated you like the colorful ones.

I'll say MS-66RB, shot at 67.

The TPG's probably wouldn't like this coin since it doesn't fall within their window of acceptability. It does not mean the coin has been "tampered with", this type of toning develops on it's own and IMO is market acceptable.

the coin imo would grade 67 imo but I think a TPG would ding it for eye appeal for the toning

The colors are even more vivid in hand. It definitely catches your eye but as you see toning is uneven. I liked it,Thad likes these more and if I can't submit no use to hold on to it. I am so glad Badthad posted a picture. I wonder if more members on the forum like this type of toning. If so then maybe it is market acceptable. Provided I run into anymore like this. Anyway just curious as to what others think.

Not top of the charts on appeal for the toning, but I like it regardless, memorial cents tend to tone much more odd and I think it won't hurt or help it if it were submitted. I'd say it would be in the ms66rb realm
