I noticed this Newfoundland token in the sold listings on e-bay and was not aware of a 1846 dated token without the R.H, I thought these all had the R.H. initials. Is this real and I've just been in the dark?
Good eye. The St. John's doesn't have the initials but the Harbour Grace is supposed to have them as they were struck by Ralph Heaton & Sons. Tokens aren't my strong point so maybe one of our resident experts can explain. Possibly a variety .
