Since I finally got my dads metal detector I decided to take it for a test tonight. I'm only back in now because it is raining now. I'm going out again tomorrow. I could still use some info and advice. But anyways I found this all in about a hlaf hour at the corner patch of grass on my block. Its not much but thats one big solid piece of glass I cant figure out what its from. the big round thing is an old rusted pop can.

it has been years since I've out "detecting" glad to see that your "into it" "digging it" and all that.the saying is true "you just never know what ya might find".i remember having a entry level radio shack detector,i remember test bury ing different coins at different depths then fine tuning the detector to "pick them up" ie.detect them.happy hunting :-) thanks for sharing your finds sure brings back fond memories.

Its not much at all. Back in the day when I used to play around with it I found a 1908 quarter :-) that made my day but I never found much else. I wasnt in a very well traveled area though. I'm just hoping for some good finds now
