Counterfeit/Fake Or Real Greek Coin

Sap Moderator Australia 16809 Posts	Posted 07/02/2022 12:25 pm Absolutely 100% fake. This is very typical of the kinds of "tourist fakes" that were sold in Afghanistan to Westerners. "Cupronickel coins" of Bactria do indeed exist; they are made from a copper ore naturally high in nickel and are quite scarce; examples are known from kings Euthydemos II and Agathokles; Demetrios I did not issue cupronickel coins.
