Hello,

I found a 1939 silver dollar and the seller was rating it MS-62. I was under the impression this was about AU-50/AU-55. Am I wrong or am I missing something?

Edit: after a closer look on a better phone I'd say vf35;

I'd say maybe AU-50. It's much higher than a 35. There is minimal wear in the hair and the columns on the reverse. If all those dings on the Rev are like the photo in-hand then maybe XF-45. It is definitely not MS. It is a very common coin, with lots for sale because people saved them when they came out so many saw no circulation. Hard to tell from the photo. Is it a double HP?

Not an MS and not a Doubled HP.
Unless you can get it for a very good price,
wait for something better. These are common
in MS condition.

Before my edit my guess was ef45-au50 but the lighting is throwing me off, the detail on the obverse looks vf45 to me reverse ef35 but I have never tried grading one of these. I think I have one actually lol but since it's not mint state it's essential worth around melt.
