We use the letter "MD" for Machine Doubling quite often, why is it not hot linked yet?
And could we get it linked to the fully spelled out reference?

(please?)

Hmm. It's also commonly used in North America for "Maryland", is it not? While to Europeans, "MD" stands for "Moldova". And everywhere, "MD" is commonly understood to stand for "Doctor of Medicine". Might be a little confusing if someone in their welcome thread or sigline says "Hi, I'm an MD from MD" and they find themselves hotlinked to Machine Doubling.

"MD" might be commonly used for " Machine Doubling" in the Varieties and Errors subforums, but everywhere else, it means something else.

And, on a related note, it's already mildly annoying if people are trying to talk about coins from the DDR (Deutsche Democratische Republik, a former country also known in English as "East Germany") but get hotlinked to some irrelevant error and variety terminology.

Yes that is true, which is why all state and other pronouns are not hot-linked. But this IS a coin related forum for the most part - and as such, I think that MD should be linked as it relates back to Machine Doubling 99.9% of the time here

I'll see later today or tomorrow if I can add some context to it and get most of them. I'm headed out to cut the grass right now and it's in the 90s already I may not feel like doing anything the rest of the day when I'm done.
