i heard it takes PCGS 6 months to grade a customers coins because they are so busy. is that true? maybe I should go with ngc.

I shipped 3 subs they received on April 1st, one just posted grades last night, the other 2 are still in limbo.

PMG took 5 months to grade my latest batch of notes.

One reason as @recollector said is that PCGS is so busy.
But add in they are also short-handed.

NGC appears to be faster but don't hold your breath.

Here is where you will find the current estimated turnaround time for PCGS as it changes regularly. https://www.PCGS.com/statistics The turnaround times stated are the previous week's average for each service level indicated..The service you choose can therefore change how long it might take. So, it's an average, and its for submissions that have completed. Any individual submission can be at the average time, below the average time, or longer than the average time. And, submissions in progress are not counted until they finish. These times are estimated, as turnaround times always vary and the weekend days do not count only business days and also less any holidays..
