Very funny coppernickeldaddy. But, I did go to the bank today and asked if they had any of the new "one cent" coins yet, and they said they did not have any but would try to have some for me next Tuesday.
When I do ask for stuff, they order it for me that day and then write my name on the box the day it comes in.

I have to order boxes of halves, I just picked up 15 rolls of quarters and not one saver.

I got $5 in pennies at a small bank (one blinking light in town, powered by a sear's die-hard battery) just for grins, lots of coppers, one wheatie. They didn't have any halves, but seems friendly and will try them again and add to my list of banks.

At one bank I regularly use, I apologized to the teller for being a "pain in the *$&" and she said that it's no problem because I always smile and how other people are grumpy when they ask for things. The credit union always jokes around because I'll bring in $100 of coins and 85% of the time, the machine would need changing of the bags halfway through my usage of it.

I never bring rolls of halves back to the same bank from where I got them, it can really piss the tellers off. I know because I was a commercial teller for three years in college. Although most coin collectors that I have dealt with at the bank were nice and did not return the coin rolls that I would give them. Also, when dumping halves I always frequent the bank branches that will not order boxes for me when I request them. It kind of makes me angry because some tellers are either lazy or just unaware that they can order halves. I used to place the bank order every monday and always included a box of halves for myself on that order. When tellers refuse to order halves for me, they become my new 'Dump bank'.

I ask if they had the new pennies today and the teller said he didn't know there was a new penny. So, they didn't have any. Got box of halves coming in Monday, hope to get some good stuff.

When I buy halves from a bank, they do not want me to bring them back. I do not have any trouble with other rolls.

Siver Eagle, I like your strategy for finding new dump banks.
How do you order a box of halves, have never done it before... does the bank deduct the cost of the halves from your account on the day you order or when they come in?
