Hello. I am putting up pictures of this 1972 Half Dollar *Note I just
picked up this one first and took pic* I would like to have a better
idea about what certain grades of coins look like. I hope to find out
by seeing what coins I have would possibly be graded. Thank You Very
Much. Chris

Hi Chris

I dont know how I missed the original post, But I just saw the new post Icon,, I apologise !!!

The pics are a little blury but I will do my best, the coin shows wear on both obverse and reverse so we know that we will not be in the MS grades,

The strike characteristics of the Kennedy are such that determining what is a weakness and what is actual wear can sometimes be difficult.

My best shot at this coin is XF-45 possibly with the coin in hand AU-50.

Rick

Sorry, but I just got home a little bit ago (we've been gone since 5 this morning). With the amount of luster, I'd say AU. There seems to be some slight wear, but a nice coin.

Im no good at grading either but I will say that not all MS slabbed coins are expensive. you can actually get many for 15-30 dollars. just depends on what type of coins and the dates. start checkin around cuz it wasnt long ago I was thinking they would be real expensive and was starting with the low grade unslabbed coins. dont get me wrong thats still the main thing I get and have but you can always find a nice slabbed high grade coin for a decent price if you look in the right places
