Why change the rules in the middle of the game? The fewer the people that advance, the better their odds.

Your contest so your rules, but I agree keeping the rules the same is a good pathway. For your 20K contest, you could do it by percentages so that it doesn't matter if 2 or 200 participate.

Completely up to you. I am a little surprised there weren't more entries but, as Spence said, it's your contest so just do what you're most comfortable with!

I think that is a fair way to complete this round - and before your begin the next round you can restate the rules any way you wish to.

This is your contest, your timeline and your rules. You can restate any of them in any manner you wish - except IMO the rules for Round 1 which had already began.
