this quarter looks almost like a reddish/brown color, looks pretty cool, any particular reason it would look like that?

Sorry bad news for you. This clad coin start to be red and some green. Normal clad toning without acids and carbonate will have very nice yellowish toning. This most in cello. Your coin exposited to harmful agents.
