Goodpeeps New Member Singapore 4 Posts	Posted 08/06/2022 03:31 am Hi I'm new here. Got this coin recently and I am wondering if there's an error. The coin on the left is without the error and the coin on the right is ...well I'm not sure if it's an error. Sap Moderator Australia 16816 Posts	Posted 08/07/2022 6:50 pm Definitely not an error, but probably not actually a "spooned" coin either. The polished rim combined with the damage and severe wear to the design inside the coin tells me this is more likely to be a " Dryer Coin" - it got stuck in the well of an industrial clothes dryer or similar piece of machinery and spent years just rolling around and around. The other option is, of course, that it's just a counterfeit. But the highly polished rim tells me the Dryer Coin is more likely; a counterfeiter isn't going to waste time doing that to their counterfeits, for no real benefit to them. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
