Market grading applies to these types of coins. Eye appeal, toning, haze, luster, and population reports should not affect the technical grade of a coin, but TPGs allow it to. It appeals to the public market, hence the term "market grading".

PCGS definition of market grading: A numerical grade that matches the grade at which a particular coin generally is traded in the marketplace. I don't understand that. Could you explain technical grading to me.?.

i had this one at MS65+ maybe 66 but not 67. there are just too many marks on the highest points on both sides to make that grade

I wasn't too far away with 66+. I do think 67+ should be a truly very clean coin with maybe only the very slightest of marks. I still think this is a 66+ but its stunning either way.

It is a nice coin...however I think the expert grader was out on a coffee break when this one passed through...buy the coin and not the holder.
