This coin is about AU 50 but the reverse is abnormally deeply struck and reflects like a mirror. You can see my pointer finger clearly reflected on the surface. Definitely not cleaned or polished. Do any of you know if this is uncommon. How would a coin grading service note the proof-like reverse, and does it greatly increase the value?

Thanks,
I have never seen a coin with obvious wear on the obverse but almost proof on the back.

Uncommon? Yes. Unheard of? No. I've seen a number of AU**PL-slabbed Morgans; I've got an 1878-S that fits the definition.
