This just came to me. I paid 45€ plus shipping. Obverse is more banged up than I hoped (photos can hide much), and the luster is not overwhelming to say it mildly. Anyway I have to keep it because it was a buy from private. And its not totally bad I guess - was not too expensive and still at least an honest uncleaned example. But ehat grade is it? What do you say?

I'm pretty confident this would grade MS62.

That's sounds about right. Pics aren't the best.

Really? I thought that the surfacs are pictured pretty sharply. What aspect would you like to see better?

The first and last photos are not captured straight on. The coins are slanted at an angle. The middle coin photo is the best of the 3. The cheek is pretty banged up. MS62

I like to see coins also at an angle. Best is if you see them from several angles!
BTW: I was not sure if that would make MS-62 or MS-61. Probably from the marks MS-62 but I was just disappointed in the luster.

Basically it is always best to take a photo of a coin head on, instead of at angles. Don't get me wrong, angled shots DO help to see how deep cuts are and see damage from a different perspective...but the best way for us to assess a coin is definitely head on. It is basically because light can bounce directly back to the camera whereas at an angle, the light is bouncing away from the lens and the image is not as good.

Lustre looks muted on the reverse but the breast feathers are there and there's not much damage, the contact marks to the obverse are many but they aren't deep. MS61, to me, is more scratched up than this.

low end MS63 or high end 62. I agree the luster on the reverse seems very muted and could hold it to 62. MS63 has a wide birth

I think it is a low end 63.
