Hi all,
I have a coin which at first inspection I thought was a 1/3 Grosza from Gubin mint.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces118084.html
Upon further inspection the profile of Augustus III is not the same and is much more similar to to a 1 Grosza from the Grünthal mint except the bust is larger.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces31087.html
I also cannot see coin wear accounting for 5mm in diameter. Am not sure how much variation there is in the profiles etc. of the 1/3 Grosza.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Diam. = 14.5mm

Copper schilling/szelag (=1/3 grosz) of Gubin.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces118084.html

To the best of my knowledge, the Grunthal schilling has an empty space below the juncture of the crowns reverse, but the Gubin schilling has a letter (see the two types in Numista). Yours might have a B or an R there?

And yes, there is a lot of variation in the bust.

Hey Steve, that looks like it but the site says it's a 1 Grosza, not 1/3. I wonder which is right? 15mm is 1/3 Grosza according to Numista.
