It's a no-grader.

What do you carry in that pocket? Gravel? Copper worms?

What's the weight? I would think it's underweight, but by how much?

at the moment I have a silver eagle, several Lincoln cents, some large cents, a Buffalo nickel. it changes. I added this coin and another 2020-D to my pocket as mint red when I first got them in change in the early part of 2020. its been banging against coins and being handled on a daily basis for 2.5 years. the other 2020-D graded xf40bn at PCGS in early 2021. bottom pop for the entire shield type by 10 points. it is plated on coinfacts.

Well, shut my mouth! I love it!

I wouldn't have thought a coin in that condition could be slabbed and certified, but I guess it IS true wear showing on the coin. They don't seem to list a Price Guide value on the 2020-D, but why not?

The image on Coinfacts is wonderful. I would love to see the certification page for your coin. I hope you paid the upcharge to have it imaged. I have to wonder just what they thought when your submission turned up. I also wonder how many people at PCGS had to examined the coin when it was there.

Great post!

Don't think I've seen a shield cent so worn.

i think this stuff is fun.

here you can see the progression of wear. the 2020 is about 30 months, 2021 is 18 months and the 2022 has been in my pocket for 6 months.

i plan to send them all in once the 2020 starts to lose its date.
