I decided to run another contest. Something different than previous ones I guess. I'll post eight small pictures of some world coins, common designs of course. The aim is to name the country of any four of these. First three members to accomplish this task will be rewarded with this: This is a 1981 1 Lira. The same size as a dime and minted of Aluminium. The picture may mislead you, the coins have full luster. I'm planning to start the contest tomorrow night (15th March 01:00 TR time (GMT+2)) That is 14th March 18:00 (6:00 PM) EST, also 15th March 09:00 Aussie time Here's an example of the contest images: this is the whole coin: A Turkish coin :)Edited by RenaL 03/15/2006 07:18 am

Hi Renal. Sounds like a lot of fun. It's a shame I'll be at work, without internet access. I'll give it a go when I get home though. Steve

I wish it could be possible to start it when everyone is available, but you know the world is round.
Maybe next time I can do something separately for US, AUS evening times. I'm thinking about that.

Thanks Renal.
That was fun.
I got my times mixed up though, I thought I was going to be at work. The time you posted for Australia was Eastern time, so here in the west it was still early enough for me to get into the contest.
Thanks again
Steve

This was a fun contest. I only had a minute this morning to look at the coins and was lucky I knew four. Thanks for the contest, it was good fun. LOL, I was thinking that German Eagle (coin 2) was a new one from Egypt.

Congratulations again and you're welcome!
Next time I must have two separate ones, one for Aussie evening, one for US.

I know it's too late for you, what time are you using? GMT+4 ?
Maybe not this one, but you already have some TR coins on your way, don't be upset:)
