1936 S Mercy Dime, Looks Like A Repunch Mint Mark But Also The Wrong On For This Date?

If you think you have a RPM or doubled die, you should always check these sites first Hard to say from the pics, but it may either be contact damage or a very minor die chip www.varietyvista.com www.doubleddie.com Bookmark them. It has nothing to do with location Every working die has the mm punched by hand. That means the actual location can vary. How many dies did San Francisco use in 1936? Probably lots. And each of those dies will have the mm in a slightly different location.
