for years my only system was putting pocket finds in another pocket and hoping I remembered them, then my wife found these at pharmacy. Pill pouches for carrying pills with you, even have a place to record info. Now I put pocket finds in them and don't worry about loosing track of them, also great for putting roll search finds in for later follow-up. She found a bag of 100 of these at a discount of 50 cents. And they are reusable!especially if not written on but even if. nice little zip-lock bag

I carry a wallet. There are pockets for credit cards and/or photos. If and when I find or acquire a coin I just push it into one of those slots. Nothing extra to later find in the washing machine.

Another thing you may want to consider is an empty pill container (for short term purposes only) that you could leave in the car at all times. I find that by doing this that I do not forget about them, get them banged up or put into the change pile at the end of the day by accident.

I've got a terrible memory. When I find a coin in circulation that I want to keep, I need to take drastic measures so that it (a) stays separate from my spending money, and (b) I remember it when I get home, so it doesn't get forgotten, or go through the wash, or something.

I've got one of those "Star Trek style" clamshell mobile phones. I put the coin inside and close it up, gently - and hope it doesn't dial China for me when I put it back in my pocket.

I use kind of the same idea as well. I went to a staples business supply store and bought a box of coin envelopes. I carry a bunch in the front pocket of my purse just in case. I used to try the in a pocket by itself idea too. But on the days I got lucky and got more than one interesting coin at once I had the problem of finding someway to get them in there but not let them touch.

Also, at arts and crafts stores in the bead section they sell the same kind of zip lock bags but very small ones to basically just fit a coin. You get maybe 200 for 2 or 3 dollars. I like those as well.

They're also great if you're sending individual coins or 2x2's in the mail. Pop a coin in each one for a bit of extra protection

I bought a small pill case to keep in my pocket today. Perfect size and keeps my wife from recirculating my pocket finds!
