I see this listed on NGC 1909 VDB Lincoln Cents from time to time. I find it interesting that there is provenance associated with a coin. In researching "Bandera Bank Hoard", there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about it, at least not that I can find. Does a coin being associated with a "hoard" add any intrinsic value?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

No, you can pay them and they'll put anything you want on the label. Follow the $$$$$.

Not really. While hype and marketing tend to increase prices but not necessarily long-term value.
Repetition! Repetition! Repetition! is the mantra in marketing. I think it works because humans like to think they "are in the know".

(The GSA hoard of the seventies seems to buck the trend but provides some provenance.)

Some labels are just a marketing gimmick IMO. However there are labels with historical interest like the Binion Collection, Fitzgerald Collection, related to Las Vegas that collectors like and pay a modest extra premium for.

I have collected ancient coins. Coins documented coming from a discovered hoard can have higher premiums as well. Same for shipwreck coins.
