Was wondering if anyone had any good books they could recommend on US Paper Money.

My two favorites by far are US Paper Money Guide and Handbook by Carlson Chambliss and the Comprehensive Catalog of US Paper Money by Gene Hessler. Both are nice hardcover books by BNR press, but they're about 10 years old now and was wondering if there was anything comparable that was more recent. Looked at Standard Catalog Of United States Paper Money and even though it had nice color photos, I wasn't that impressed with the book. Guide Book of United States Paper Money 2nd Ed. (Official Red Book) seemed like a better choice, but it really isn't much more than a fancy price guide with nice photos.

If you want to read about earlier paper money then Obsolete Paper Money by Bowers is a great book.
