I received the new CONECA ErrorScope magazine today and they had a link printed to the new CONECA Master List (CML). I'm not sure if others have been aware of the new list or not. I knew it was in the works and have been looking forward to it. I'm not sure how VarietyVista and the CML will work together moving forward but at least it's coming along. It is still a work in progress (a lot of work) but it's getting there. (BTW-They are looking for all kinds of volunteers if members have any interest.) CONECA Master List (CML)- https://www.conecaonline.info/It will take a little getting use to the new format, DDO & DDR listings: Lincoln cents to 1940. (Others to come) Nickels 1938 to 2019. Look it over, play with it, and although it's not required, support the hobby by signing up at CONECA. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Very cool, but the listings seem hard to navigate... is there no way to look by year? Seems like you can only view a big sprawling list of varieties for all dates that you have to scroll through. Would be awesome if they made some changes to the user interface to make it more useful while hunting, since none of the reference sites do a very good job of this.

Great info , many thanks ! It will take some getting accustomed to. I normally cherrypick by pick up points and scroll through listings to attribute in a similar manner .

Thanks for the heads-up on this. That site is absolutely dreadful. They must have employed grade-schoolers to design that site -- I take that back, I think grade-schoolers might have done a better job. Maybe government contractors did it while burning the midnight oil. I wonder whose bright idea it was to show the 1909P date as the first pic of nearly every DDR save two [6&10], in which they actually show the EPU doubling -- Not much on consistency. Looks like they took a page out of the Ted Turner book [whereby he colorized old b&w movies]. No thank you. If that is what the bright minds at CONECA have come up with then I feel badly/sorry for the hobby.

Thanks for the thoughtful replies. I have no horse in the race, so to speak, but I do appreciate all the effort that everyone puts into making this hobby better. Everyone. Quote: Thanks for the heads-up on this...... No thank you.... Hmmm. This seems to be the most constructive thing in this reply. Too bad. I'm guessing you didn't know the update was happening or you would have provided expert guidance. Instead of criticizing and lambasting people who have put a lot of effort into trying to update their list and improve our hobby you could always volunteer. Take a few minutes to actually read why they set it up the way they did. It will take some adjustment like anything new (Internet anyone?) but really look at the site, use it, and give it a chance. You might be surprised.

@PETE: You like to criticize also lol, but in this case you has to understand the human been. Always the humans are reticent or reject the new. Then in faze two just accept or tolerate then will pass at faze three when they will accept. Like in army: 1.you do not know? I teach you 2. you can not do, I help you 3. you do not want, I force you. In this case you do not want ? OK I force you to use because you need my information.

Quote:....Like in army: ... OK I force you to use because you need my information. I see what you are saying but everyone is free to create their own site or use an alternative one. Quite a few people have put in a lot of help for the benefit of us all. I guess the reply just hit a nerve after knowing how much thought and energy is going into making the site more inclusive towards collectors. They are trying to get more people involved in the whole process which makes the hobby stronger in the long run. Only time will tell if they succeed I guess. BTW- Is there a difference between insulting criticism and constructive criticism? Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems you and I have participated in constructive criticism. EDIT: I meant to add a "thank you" to PNWmakes for providing that link on how to use the website. And here is a link to "Master List Variety Philosophy" that will begin to show the amount of thought that has gone into the new website. http://www.conecaonline.info/master...-philosophy/There are some new categories for 2021 Here's a taste: "• Mismatched reverses: (MMRD) (new to CONECA as of 2021) • Transitional reverses: (TRD) (new to CONECA as of 2021)" And remember that the site is still a work in progress so express any criticism with that in mind.
