Just bought this. Pics are low res. This looks like the "7 over small 7 variety". Thought I would seek feedback. Thanks.

yes, this is a 1847/7. its either n-2 or n-31. I cant see any of the diagnostics on the reverse. they are pretty similar in price. n-31 is rarer and commands a 10-20% premium over n-2. the completely uncracked early die state of N-31 is pretty rare and would command a decent premium.

happy to help. I agree that the coin has environmental damage. nice example. should be able to see that overdate clear as day!
