Looks like it might be a tilted die clash, very cool! Haven't seen one of these on a Wheat cent before. You can also see the clash mark on the reverse with the line through PLURIBUS. |

I guess I was thinking for it to be a clash that it would have to be inverted lettering? Upside down?

Yes TIPPY rotated clash. I agree with others on. I will send to MAD for attribution and analyze. For 4 $ is worth to know exact.

great coin, makes me want to pull out my 1918 cents to look for similar
if you check your Prez dollar coins and ever find a clash on Tyler too, we want to know

One of the best that I have seen !
I found a minor one on a 1916 wheat. Coppercoins 1928P-1DO-001 is also a tilted die clash. I have one from the 1930's though I would have to dig around to find it. 1954 and 55 had a few from each date.
I will have to keep an eye out for 1918 as the OP's is a super example !
