Just sold an item on the bay (yesterday) and today the buyer asked me to send it via Airsure so I wondered what was the problem as they haven't paid yet. I went to send an invoice but it turns out they are no longer registered. Now I have recently been messed around by a buyer from Scotland who is no longer registered either. He made a non-receipt of item dispute in PayPal but now Royal Mail says his package has been delivered only he hasn't replied (shock! we knew that was coming..) and so I haven't got my money given back to me in PayPal - quite possibly they will never do so. So naturally, I am reluctant to even deal with this latest person (who lives in Spain) and they don't have their item, haven't paid for it anyway etc.. so I fancy I will just call it off and resell the item. I don't like dealing with fools. Can anyone advise me how to cancel the sale and start reselling the item or else what would you do in this situation?
Thanks, Matt

You have to report it as unpaid item so ebay can give you back the commissions taken from you. After that you have to wait for a number of days if you still want payment if not I think you can resell, not so sure about it. It happened to me once and I gave the guy a chance so I waitied just to find out after waiting that he was no longer registered.

Ah yes, that's the simple solution :) 'cept this guy won't be givena chance - I don't deal with people on the banned list :P

Matt.. if he's no longer a registered user, then that purchase should be void. You should definitely make sure in the small print, but I would think you can't go through with a contract when you can't find the 2nd party! ebay should automatically give you back your fees, as this isn't anything as simple (ha) as an unpaid-for item.

Report it on PayPal now! I think between 15-45 days after the auction, you can file a claim to get your fees back. Earlier, they don't allow you to do it, and later (than 45 days) they will say sorry.

Sorry.. I meant automatically as in 'automatically after you file the claim' Of course they won't give them back if you don't ask. I was just trying to say you shouldn't have to go through their usual waiting period while they mess around since they can see the user is no longer registered.

I have never been sure on where to go to report anything to ebay?
