I enjoy collecting commemorative medals and coins, this is actually made with the metal from the "The Eagle" landing module. I am happy they continue to celebrate these brave Americans! My newest addition to my collection is the 2021 Christa McAuliffe proof.

Just to clarify for those who might not be aware, for claims such as the above to be valid/true requires only for a nut, a small piece of wire or something similar from the lunar module to be added to the molten metal used to create the medal's planchet. The claim does not mean that metal from the lunar lander constitutes the entire composition of the planchet.

I guess the swarf swept up off the workshop floor meets the criteria!
