I bought this in an auction today, obviously for the coins only

The booklet is nice, but for the storage purpose, I don't know if it is worth more if I keep it all, or just the coins that I wanted.

What do you suggest?

Thanks, regards!

the quantity of bidders should tell you the answer, if few there's not much interest in keeping the set together

Thanks for they reply! But that doesn't help me at all!

Bought this set with three other coins

1 Eisenhower dollar from 1978
half dollar from 1968
and a gold dollar from 1868 (I was about to post in order to get a grade reference)

All these for 29 USD, at an online auction that started at 20 USD

So this was a real bargain and I have no clue if the booklet adds value or not

Mark, I'd like to see a pic of the 1868 gold dollar.Only 10,500 were minted, so that coin alone is worth far more than you paid for the auction.

sorry the gold dollar turned out fake

the Franklin grouping is an arbitrary one of the type that appeals to novice collectors, and such collectors rarely devote large amounts to their collection, meaning the Franklin item has little value beyond the silver half
