I think I can very tentatively read ...ΔIANOC for (probably) Gordian III, a prolific issuer of Roman provincials. But the letters prior to NOC are increasingly uncertain, so it could be some other people as well.

I hope someone recognizes the reverse (some kind of temple perhaps?), and/or the portrait.

How common is the non-triangular roof on the reverse?

Quite similar - except for the light weight - to Trajan AE's from Nicaea, Bithynia with altar reverses and ΔIOC in exergue.

Thanks guys. Thank you for the link Bob, I was leaning towards Trajan from the portrait, didn't realise there are as many variations of the Altar reverse.
Thanks again!

In retrospect, I have to admit that ...AIANOS for Trajan fits the legible lettering even better. I'm honestly a little surprised how I didn't think of Trajan, that sure doesn't look like a 3rd century portrait but I was stuck thinking of 3rd century options anyway.

Nice ID!
