Paid $123 (including tax and shipping) for these two lots. Eight 1964 BU and (5) 40 percent. From a strictly bullion play it's not good being 50% above melt but you have some nice coins vs bars or rounds. Physical silver, particularly BU U.S. 90%, is always trading at a premium. Usually sell for $4-5 over spot, plus shipping unless you bid on a free shipping auction. And that's usually rare. I have decided to avoid the 40 percent silver and stick to 90 percent. With physical silver bringing significant premiums to melt, halves bringing more than other junk and 1964 Kennedys being pretty much all BU, you didn't do too bad. Forecasters are saying that the oz. prices are going to take a jump. Silver may hit the $50/oz mark as it did in the 1980's. It's always a gamble but, well worth the wait if the bullion market shoots up. Watch the bullion market. KITCO is a good site for up to the minute prices. I check it daily.
