Found this quarter rolling and not sure what I am seeing. Is it post damage or other? I have not seen this before. Thank you for your knowledgeable reply.

The curved arc appears to be incuse but under the rays. If so, it may be a planchet flaw that was on the planchet before the coin was stuck at the mint.


Others with more experience on quarters should be along after a while to add to my opinion or correct me. (Thanks to anyone for either.)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
