A keen-eyed CCF friend spotted this one and I grabbed it. Nice DDR on a pretty decent coin.

Beautiful. As a novice, what are the signs that point to it being a DDR? Thanks.

Thanks folks! Caddis, I chose the dots and STATES for the macro image as maybe that part of the coin shows it best. On the class VI doubled dies the general distortion is toward the rim, so looking at the horizontal bars of various outer devices is a pretty good place to see it. Observe the tops of the letters in STATES, and you will see that they are far too thick, with the thickening towards the rim. Another really good spot to see it is in the dots. They should be round, but are oval, again in the direction of the rim. This effect occurs around the coin, also fairly visible in the lower horizontal parts of ONE CENT.

Guess you've been hanging around those Lincoln cents too long

Nice find! Expect a text from me in the morning.
