A very pleasant surprise, T-Bop! And just two months ago the "experts" were saying silver would remain below $20 for the next year or so. Almost tempted to sell some of my hoard.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

If you follow the stock market, $SLV has been pretty much in lockstep with the $DJIA. https://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/a...lse&state=12

Why is silver rallying? IMO, its due to the market believing the Federal Reserve is closer toward the end of the interest rate hiking cycle. The last 3 hikes were .75%, today most likely will be .5 Going into '23 will be another couple half point increases & then its wait-n-see if the Fed gets "Dovish" or pivots on their rate hiking stance.

Dollar is dropping

Pull up a chart that allows you to overlay dollars and silver over time and it shows clearly

I read somewhere that the increase is because people are wanting silver in hand more than paper silver.

I see absolutely no reason to get very excited about the current uplift in the silver bullion price.
If you look at the 20 year price chart, it is currently just about bang on the 20 year trend line.

Just a bit underwhelming from the way I see it, and especially so, if you are a long term stasher.
