Question?
If someone is sending a personal message, is there some sort of notification, somewhere on the forum to let you know you have a message? What am I missing here?

You are sending them an email. There is no notification, as far as I know

Correct. There is no PM system built into CCF. When you send a message, it is sending an email to the address used to register the account. If someone sent a message that was not received, the receiver should check their spam or junk mail folder.

The "private message" systems you can see on other internet forums aren't really "private" - the forum admins can see them. This forum's founders had some issues with the way their "private messages" were treated on another coin forum, so when they founded this one, they made sure PMs were never enabled.

And if in their profile that member has selected "no" to the question "allow other members to send you e-mails", then they've voluntarily disconnected from the forum's e-mail system and will not receive any messages you send them.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
