I am originally from the East Coast in NYC & Washington DC areas.
I know Live in Grand Lake, Colorado at 9,000 ft above sea level.
I have been collecting coins since I was a child. My father and grandfather were
both coin collectors and I inherited both of their collections over the years.
Recently I have got into Lincoln Cents (because I have ALOT of the) and the many errors assciciated with them.

I have just started to list coins for sale on ebay, even though I don't have much experience
with this. Pricing is rather difficult in my opinion.

I have nightmares about sifting through 5 gallon containers of coins in the late 60's & 70's
and passing by incredibly rare/valuable coins because I just didn't have the knowledge & experience to recognize them. I know I probably passed by a rare 1943 or 44 or two.

I have learned quite abit about coins throughout my life and still have alot more to learn.
I hope I might be able to help out on this forum.

Tacc, welcome to the Forum!
If you're new to ebay selling, start with low value coins and work your way up. You don't want to make a costly mistake right off the bat.
As for sifting through buckets of 60s - 70s LMCs, just remember that the valuable varieties are extremely rare. It's up to you to decide whether it's worth your time to examine each of these cents in the remote possibility that it will be worth more than face value.
My best wishes in your endeavors!
P.S. Grand Lake is absolutely gorgeous country!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Grand Lake is Very Nice all year long no doubt, we are however dealing with very frequent Mountain Lion attacks this winter.
Dogs, while people are walking them. Missing pets by the dozens...
A little sobering I guess, but we are on the edge of vast wilderness.

This is why I still have 100's of unsearched pennies. But the odds of getting a 1943 /1944 error coin is so great that the only way I'm going to pass on one is in a coin show.

Look for really good condition coins and the 100+ other errors.
Happy Hunting!
