Toonie With Rim Issues. Did This Get Punched Wrong?

Phreakyteebz New Member Canada 6 Posts	Posted 03/04/2023 7:21 pm I have this Toonie where the outer rim seems to be missing in sections but where the words Canada 2 Dollars is stamped on the side it seems raised. What may cause this? And of course, can I pay off my mortgage because of its 'incredible' value? I'm curious on the thoughts of the forum. Thank you, Report this Post to the Staff

Phreakyteebz New Member Canada 6 Posts	Posted 03/05/2023 08:09 am The other side is normal with maybe a couple of slight rim blemishes, but it is what I would expect to see. The next picture is another shot of the bumpy edge, in case it wasn't clear in my earlier post. And then a comparison of two toonies. I realize that the bumps are from the edge lettering, but normally I still see a smooth edge, as per below. The one of the left is what I would expect to see. After further review should the edge lettering be placed at the same location. In order for me to match up the edge lettering I need to have one coin heads up and the other tails up. They are also offset with the striations so that the one coin has the number 2 in the smooth part and the other has the number 2 in the striations. Currently it's the only two toonies I have with the edge lettering, so it's tough to compare. Report this Post to the Staff
