I just started collecting coins last year. I would like to know if there is a book available that would cover Canadian Maple Leaf, Australian Kookaburra, Australian Kangaroo, Australian Lunar Series, British Britannia, Chinese Panda, Chinese Unicorn, Silver American Eagle coins, as well as a lot of more exotic coins from all over the word, mostly coming out of the country's mint. I bought "Collecting World Coins" but that didn't have the coins that currently interest me.

So is there a book out there that would tell me the value of these types of coins?

Thanks and hello everyone. It's nice being a member here.

hi traevin and wlecome to the forum. Sounds to me like you need to get yourself a krause catalogue. I believe that you will find all those coins in there.

Look like you need some Krause. Get some here

http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Cata...53161&sr=8-3

and here

They're quite expensive. I think most libraries have them. At least mine does.

And oh yeah...

The catalogue you have "Collecting World Coins" if that is the Krause one by that name only includes circulating coins and not bullion which is what you collect.

The regular Krause has both. (Standard Catalogue)

The problems is that all of those coins are more or less bullion so the value of them changes with the spot price of silver. The Krause book would not be able to account for these fluctuations.

Any book of values will be out of date in a few months. If you only want values you would have to look at recent sales.
