sure looks like it, what attribution do you think it is?

edit - VV has no listings for any DDO's in 1982 for any mint.
edit: neither does Wexler's

Maybe this is just a very convenient hit on the 9

Just saw a few 1982-P with same 9 and no mention of it. One had a rim burr, a small one coin didn't look all that great to me and they had gave it MS66

No one "gave me" personally ms66. I researched the coin looking for the 9. I didn't see any word anywhere and the 9 was the same on all the coins again with no discussion. And they were grading the coins but they were Philadelphia not Denver at MS66 and posterbcoin is better than what I saw that's all I'm saying geeez. I didn't say in my post that anyone gave me anything.

Not my area,that said I do not see this as a DDO or MS66.

the 9 is interesting, has some characteristics of both die doubling and Machine Doubling

@Nick: You are right. But IMHO it is SD ( Strike Doubling) if we take in consideration the stage of the die.
