The only thing I see that could be considered doubling is at the eye. can you post up a close up of it?

NY Islander, I think you actually may have a different DDO, along with an RPM. Take a look at Wexler's listing, 1943-D WDDO-035. It would also include WRPM-009 on the mint mark. Your photos are a bit blurry, but I believe your coin has the markers for this DDO/RPM.

Believe you are correct mb560600. Took a much closer look at the Wexler markers for WDDO-035 and though I don't see the gouge mentioned between the O & D of GOD I do see the RPM and the elongated die crack starting above the VDB and exiting at 5:00. Thanks for the feedback!
