Can't seem to find a match for this, seems to have a Vespasian obverse with Romulus and Remus reverse as found on Domitian coins.

18mm and weight is 4.00 grams. Could it be a forgery from the time? Or is it just me that can't find it?

Mule? Modern fake? Here's one from the fake reports. Sadly, pic is tiny.

Both coins may have well have come from the same die pair, fake or genuine.
That is how ancient coins are date arranged, that is, by die linking studies, based on the style of the die cutting.
In this case, style appears to be exactly the same.

IMO, the fake coin pictured appears to be fake, for three reasons:
1. - the coin looks to be far too evenly round, with no radial splits.
2. - the flan splits on OP's coin appear to be genuine.
----- to confirm, closely examine inside the splits with a 10x loupe, looking for tensile metal distress
XRF testing inside these splits may help to confirm if fake or not.
3. - color and texture of surfaces on OP's coin and fake appear to be quite different.

By appearance, the fake looks to be centrifugally pressure die cast, which is why casting roughness or evidence of bubbles cannot be seen, but reverse details appear to be slightly 'mushy', commonly found on first and second generation copies from original.

Buuuut since it matches the known fakes, I would return it. Yes Bob possibly the mule who knows. I wouldn't take the chance.
