Hi all,

I am trying to get a firm G&G or DR reference for a 1 Tanka coin from the Sultanate of Gujarat Nasir-ud-din Mahmud Shah I. The coin is pictured by drnsreedhar http://goccf.com/t/94915&whichpage=1) GuJ.S#038. A similar coin is listed on Numista (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces53157.html) however the DR reference is for Ghiyas-ud-din Muhammad Shah II. Am currently leaning towards G149 but would really appreciate some expert input. Also, is there a date to be read on this coin?
Weight = 9.43g
Diam = 18.0-18.3mm
AAnd finally, does anyone know if drnsreedhar is still active? I was thinking of messaging him but it seems he has not been active on the site for nearly a year.
Many thanks

Looking in Goron/Goenka, it does appear that G149 matches your coin. The example in GG is struck in a different position on the flan, but this is common for hand-struck coins. I didn't find one on Zeno. So the attribution is a tanka of the Sultans of Gujarat, Nasir al-Din Mahmud I, known dates 863, 864, and 866 (I'm not seeing a date on your coin).
